Don’t let a bad website represent your brand
Bargain web designers abound, but in today’s world, customers expect more: They expect better design, better functionality, and better ease of use. They expect small companies to look like big ones.
In fact, 88% of people are less likely to return to a site after a bad user experience.
4All Digital helps SMBs and startups make the jump from home-grown to professional — without the price tag of a fancy agency. We have decades of experience building, managing, and reimagining websites.
Why Good Matters
- 94% of people don’t trust websites that look outdated (MyTechlogy)
- 70% of online business failures is the result of bad usability (Uxeria)
- People form 75% of their judgment on website credibility on aesthetics alone (University of Surrey)
- A one-second delay in site load time results in a 7% reduction in conversions (Neil Patel)
Our Process
Websites that help business grow
Successful websites don’t happen accidentally. Our design process is a time-tested roadmap for project success. We emphasize strategy and quality execution, while understanding iteration is key to long-term success.
Planning
We get to know your business, and create a game plan for your website — organization, content requirements, functionality, search strategy and more.
Design/UX
Design is the visual expression of brand and strategy. We create designs for home and other key pages, and refine how users will click through the site and, ultimately, become potential customers.
Build + Q/A
Build is execution: coding, copywriting, image selection, creating pages, and more. Build can take a few weeks to a few months depending on the scope of the project — a process managed by our project manager.
Launch + Measure + Refine
Website launch is often seen as the end of a project. We see a launch as a new version of a product. Analytics, customer feedback, and business changes should drive your site’s evolution.
Frequently Asked Web Design Questions
This depends on the complexity of the website, but a good general guideline would be a few weeks to a few months. The biggest variances come in during the design and page building phases. If the design is simple and all the content is ready, then you’re looking at the shorter end of that timeline. If multiple different styles of pages need to be designed and/or content needs to be written, images taken, etc, then you are likely looking at the longer end.
We have experience with multiple platforms. For most users we recommend WordPress. Its flexibility and ease of use make it our go-to, though Shopify is another great option for ecommerce sites.
Yes! We have worked on many projects where we do the build but not the UX or design. We are a full-service web shop but want to provide the services you as a client need.
Yes, we have an experienced copy writer on staff and are able to help write/tweak headlines in most engagements. However, writing full pages takes time (using budget hours that may be needed elsewhere on the project). If full pages of copy are needed, we have found that the most efficient solution is to create a page outline, including headlines and descriptions of the type of content we are looking for, and then have you (the site owner) write the content. This gives you some direction, which makes the task less intimidating, and takes advantage of your greater mastery of the subject to generate high-quality content. That being said, if your plate is full and it’s easier to pay for extra hours from us than it would be to find them in your schedule, we can absolutely help pick up that slack.
When building a new website, or redesigning an existing site, we always follow technical best practices for SEO. This includes things like ensuring good site performance, page and site hierarchies, and a solid mobile experience. It does not include keyword or competitor research, or writing metadata. These services may be added discounted fee based on our Foundation SEO packages.
Yes! In fact, we encourage it! As part of a web build, we include a 1 hour training over Zoom or Google Hangouts for any employee who will be making website updates. In the past we’ve also had clients request written documentation as well. The written documentation may require an additional fee (depending on the number of hours we have left in the budget), but the training is included.
